Veranna Schindele

Veranna is the Marketing Coordinator at the Chamber. You can find her managing our social media platforms and website, overseeing the visitor center, or creating itineraries for media personnel, travel writers, editors, photographers, etc. When she isn't in the office, you can find her playing a round of disc golf, on a walk with her weiner dog Beans, or planning her next rock climbing trip! She attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics.
 
Originally from Kansas, Veranna lived in Devils Lake for seven years before heading off to college. After spending eight years in Kansas, she has returned home to Devils Lake.
 
Civic Leader Day
 
Wednesday, July 17th the North Dakota National Guard hosted city leaders, state legislators, and the Lieutenant Governor for Civic Leader Day at Camp Grafton. Participants from the Lake Region include Jim Moe, Spencer Halvorson, Erin Wood, Kathy Frelich, and Veranna Schindele. Leaders started their day at Camp Grafton South, where they learned about the resources available to the North Dakota National Guard and had Meals Ready to Eat (better known as MRE's) for lunch! After lunch, participants were lucky enough to experience a Blackhawk ride to Camp Grafton Training Center, where they received a walking tour of the Regional Training Institute and an auto tour of the Training Center grounds. During the tours, leaders explored the Edwards House and used the simulators soldiers practice with. We would like to extend a special thank you to the North Dakota National Guard for having us. The day was truly spectacular and one that certainly won't be forgotten!

Community Fish Fry & Corn Feed

The 19th Annual Community Fish Fry and Corn Feed will be taking place on August 22nd this year at the Burdick Arena. Serving will take place from 5 pm until gone with a free-will offering. The proceeds will go to the Lake Region Anglers Association.
