Tell us about your business!
The mission of the Lake Region Heritage Center is as follows: "to provide our citizens and visitors with the art and history of the Lake Region in order to strengthen North Central North Dakota's culture and heritage for current and future generations".  We host events, tours, fundraising for ourselves and other nonprofits and children’s groups.  We have had 2 weddings in the courtroom this year and several different types of gatherings.  With the help of the Lake Region Community Fund and the Devils Lake Area Foundation  we have been able to add a kitchen area to the main floor.  This has been so helpful. The Scouts meet here weekly and we also host the Alzheimer’s Support Group for Caregivers every 3rd Tuesday at 10am.

What is your favorite thing about being a business in Devils Lake?
The community.  I love meeting new people and learning history from people that have lived here their entire lives.

This award recognizes and honors employers who excel in recruiting, employing, and retaining America's veterans.
