Our January Brew'n Business event was a resounding success! In the morning, attendees gained valuable insights from Ann Pollert's presentation on workforce culture. Her presentation covered topics such as onboarding, recruitment, retention, and employee engagement. Ann also provided actionable steps that businesses can take to prepare for upcoming hiring events like the Summer Job Fair at Devils Lake High School, March 26th.
We continued Brew'n Business with a networking event hosted at Leading Edge Equipment. The networking event was a great opportunity for businesses to learn from one another and connect across industries.
Our next Brew'n Business event will be on business safety in Lake Region State College's Chautaqua Room on February 11th with Devils Lake Police Chief, Jason Toso!
January 16th, the Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce joined State Farm Insurance Agent, LeeAnn Overby, in celebrating the grand opening of her new office! A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark this exciting occasion, welcoming State Farm to the Devils Lake business community.
We’re thrilled to share exciting progress on two major initiatives designed to strengthen our workforce and promote Devils Lake as a great place to live, work, and thrive. Our newest blog provides a snapshot of how the RWIP Retention Grant and the newly awarded RWIP Attraction Grant are helping us make a real impact on our community.
There are numerous existing immigration programs that target workforce needs. The variety of programs available seek to attract and retain skilled talent and bolster economic growth for the state of North Dakota. While these programs help meet workforce needs, they require careful navigation of eligibility from both employer and future employee - which North Dakota Office of Legal Immigration and Job Service North Dakota can help with!
North Dakota Office of Legal Immigration has previously hosted three webinars on various immigration topics. You can find recordings of the webinars here!
