JULY 2025 - PART 1

Devils Lake Tourism Represents region at Outdoor Media Conference

Devils Lake Tourism recently had the opportunity to attend the 2025 Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) Annual Conference, held in late June on the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio. The event brings together outdoor writers, content creators, and industry leaders from across the country—all with a shared passion for promoting the outdoors.

A key part of the conference was Corporate Partner Breakout Day, where we met one-on-one with writers, photographers, videographers, and digital influencers. These focused conversations gave us the chance to share what makes Devils Lake a top destination for anglers, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts.

In addition to the media connections, we also met with a variety of outdoor brands and organizations, opening the door for potential collaborations that could help bring even more attention to our region.

This conference was a great opportunity to put Devils Lake on the radar of storytellers and companies who shape the narrative of outdoor recreation nationwide. We look forward to welcoming some of these creators to our community in the months ahead.

New Brews & Big Cheers for
Little Bean Coffee House!

The Chamber was excited to welcome Little Bean Coffee House as one of our newest members with a ribbon cutting held in Roosevelt Park June 27th. Attendees enjoyed beautiful weather and the opportunity to sample handcrafted drinks from Little Bean's charming mobile coffee trailer. Little Bean brings a unique addition to Devils Lake’s small business community, and we look forward to watching their continued success as they serve residents and visitors throughout the region.

Hats Off & Flags Raised: A Big Weekend for the Western State Bank Event Center

June 28th, we were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the new Western State Bank Event Center at the Ramsey County Fairgrounds and Peterson Arena. The festivities kicked off with a community steak fry and live music, setting the tone for a weekend full of celebration and connection.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was followed by a moving flag dedication and an incredible performance by the Ramsey County 4-H Drill Team. The event also coincided with 4-H Achievement Days, making it a perfect showcase of local pride, youth leadership, and community spirit.

It was a great start to what promises to be a hub for events and memories in Devils Lake for years to come!

HIA Health Celebrates New Name and New Look

We were honored to help celebrate the ribbon cutting and rebrand unveiling of HIA Health on July 1st. Formerly known as Hospice of the Red River Valley, the organization has launched a new name, logo, and visual identity with one powerful goal in mind: to ensure every patient across their service region feels seen, welcomed, and understood. Their rebrand reflects a deep commitment to compassionate care and inclusivity. It’s clear that a great deal of thought, purpose, and care went into this transformation, and they have so much to be proud of.

The Legacy Investment for Technology Loan Fund (LIFT) is a powerful tool from the North Dakota Department of Commerce that helps early-stage, tech-focused businesses scale up operations. It’s aimed at companies solving real-world problems through applied science, such as developing renewable energy systems or value-added agricultural technology.
